Amerec "Infrared" Rooms

Amerec, long known as a world leader in saunas and steambaths, is also a world leader in infrared heat therapy rooms. Not to be confused with saunas, infrared rooms offer their own unique features and benefits. Infrared is perfect as a “heat therapy room”, for athletes looking for a pre-workout warm-up—to warm up muscles and increase flexibility, helping to prevent injury. It’s also ideal for pre-warm up for physical therapy and massage therapy.

What is an Infrared Heat Therapy Room?
An Amerec Infrared heat therapy room provides soothing heat, directly radiated to the body, with very little time waiting for preheating. Amerec Infrared rooms and Infrared heaters are proudly manufactured in our Minnesota facility. The amount and positioning of the heat sources is specially harmonized to the particular Infrared room’s design and size. The heat radiates in a wide angle from each heater so the heat is spread evenly within the cabin space.

 

Each Amerec Infrared Room includes :

  • Prefabricated wall panels, finished inside and out, lined with Western Red Cedar European Alder tongue and groove wood vertically installed
  • Amerec Infrared heaters with wattage and heater quantity designed to give warm, even heat on all sides.
  • Amerec digital control system: Cashmere has exterior controls only; Olympic and Chelan include interior and exterior controls
  • High quality, heat proof stereo speakers pre-installed, with connectors for easy hook up to home stereo.
  • Pre-built benches
  • Built-in floor with attractive water proof vinyl flooring

GREATER COMFORT:
The SS-2000-IR provides a stable, balanced heat with its “Gentle Balance”™ function, automatically adjusting the heat output to maintain set temperatures while continuing to radiate heat.

Infrared Heaters and Controls

Each heater has a low wattage, low density, stainless steel element for soft, even distribution of heat. Multiple heaters per room are positioned to maximize heat radiation to the body. Heaters are pre-wired and include a cord for easy plug-in.

Each Amerec Infrared room includes an Amerec SS-2000-IR programmable digital control system, with one control panel on the exterior wall and one control panel inside the room — for easy, fingertip control (Cashmere has exterior controls only). The control features include: set temperature, actual temperature, set operating time and actual time remaining; also includes on/off and an indicator light. The control is sleek and European in design, measuring only 23/4"H x 51/4"W x 1/4"D.
